Ryanair Announces 29 New Summer 2027 Routes as easyJet Adds 18 New UK Routes

European travellers already have dozens of additional flight options for summer 2027, with Ryanair announcing the first 29 new routes from its upcoming summer programme and easyJet adding 18 new routes from 10 UK airports.

The announcements were made separately. easyJet unveiled its 18 new UK routes on September 24, 2026, while Ryanair followed on October 9 with the first 29 additions to its Summer 2027 network.

Together, the two announcements covered here contain 47 new routes, but that is not the complete worldwide total of new Summer 2027 routes announced by the two airlines. easyJet has separately announced additional new services in other European markets.

The routes covered here span Europe and North Africa, with regional airports gaining a particularly large share of the expansion.

Ryanair Announces Its First 29 New Routes for Summer 2027

Ryanair announced the first 29 new routes from its Summer 2027 programme on October 9, 2026.

The airline says its complete summer network is expected to include more than 2,500 routes across approximately 230 destinations.

These 29 connections represent the first batch of newly announced Ryanair routes for the season rather than the airline's complete Summer 2027 expansion.

The routes are already available to book.

Italy Features Prominently in Ryanair's Expansion

Italy is involved in 10 of Ryanair's first 29 newly announced routes for summer 2027:

Alicante – Naples

Athens – Turin

Bari – Friedrichshafen

Bari – Leeds Bradford

Bari – Oslo Torp

Catania – Wrocław

Palermo – Marrakesh

Palermo – Tirana

Tangier – Turin

Brindisi – Warsaw

The additions expand direct access to several parts of Italy, including Campania, Sicily, Puglia and Piedmont.

Bari receives three additions in this first batch, while Palermo gains new links with Marrakesh and Tirana.

Turin receives new Ryanair connections with both Athens and Tangier.

Greece Gains Four New Ryanair Routes

Four of Ryanair's first Summer 2027 additions involve Greece:

Athens – Turin

Bratislava – Chania

Leeds Bradford – Corfu

Newcastle – Rhodes

The Bratislava–Chania route provides another direct connection to western Crete, while Corfu and Rhodes gain new links with northern England.

Athens receives an additional nonstop connection with northern Italy through the new Turin service.

Porto Gains Three New Ryanair Connections

Porto receives three additions in Ryanair's first Summer 2027 announcement:

Bournemouth – Porto

Exeter – Porto

Friedrichshafen – Porto

The Bournemouth and Exeter services provide additional options for passengers in southern and southwestern England who may otherwise need to travel to a larger airport.

Porto Airport is connected with the city by Metro Line E, providing a straightforward public-transport option for independent travellers.

Ryanair Expands Its Morocco Network

Four of the newly announced Ryanair routes involve Morocco.

Tangier gains new connections with:

Alicante

Kraków

Turin

Ryanair is also adding:

Palermo – Marrakesh

The additions expand direct links between Morocco and several European cities without requiring passengers to connect through a larger aviation hub.

Spain Gains Five New Ryanair Connections

Five of Ryanair's first 29 Summer 2027 additions involve Spanish airports:

Alicante – Naples

Alicante – Tangier

Málaga – Norwich

Memmingen – Seville

Newcastle – Reus

The Norwich–Málaga route gives passengers in eastern England another direct option for reaching the Costa del Sol.

Newcastle–Reus provides direct access from northeast England to Catalonia's Costa Daurada. Reus Airport is commonly used by visitors travelling to Tarragona, Salou, Cambrils and surrounding resorts.

easyJet Adds 18 New Routes From 10 UK Airports

easyJet announced 18 new Summer 2027 routes from 10 UK airports on September 24, 2026.

These routes connect UK departure airports with destinations in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Montenegro and Bulgaria.

easyJet says it expects to be the only airline providing direct services on 10 of these 18 routes when they launch.

The airline has published launch dates and scheduled operating days for all 18 additions.

Girona Becomes a New easyJet Destination From the UK

One of the more notable additions is Girona, which becomes a new easyJet destination from the UK.

Flights from Liverpool begin on March 28, operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays.

London Gatwick follows on June 3, with three weekly services on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Girona is a destination in its own right, with a historic centre and convenient access to parts of the Costa Brava.

Girona and Barcelona are separate cities, and passengers intending to visit Barcelona should include the additional ground journey when comparing fares and total travel times.

Spain Gets Six New easyJet Routes From the UK

Spain receives the largest number of routes in easyJet's UK Summer 2027 announcement.

The six additions are:

Liverpool – Girona

Liverpool – Murcia

Edinburgh – Bilbao

Aberdeen – Barcelona

Aberdeen – Palma de Mallorca

London Gatwick – Girona

Scotland gains particularly strong additional access to Spain through Aberdeen–Barcelona, Aberdeen–Palma and Edinburgh–Bilbao.

Liverpool receives new direct flights to both Girona and Murcia.

Scotland Gets Six New easyJet Connections

easyJet is expanding substantially from Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

Aberdeen gains:

Barcelona

Palma de Mallorca

Edinburgh gains:

Hamburg

Tivat

Bilbao

Rome Fiumicino

The Edinburgh additions range from major city-break destinations such as Rome and Hamburg to Bilbao and Montenegro's Adriatic coast.

Corsica Gains Two New UK Routes

easyJet is adding two new direct UK connections with Corsica.

Manchester–Bastia begins on June 29, operating Tuesdays and Saturdays.

London Gatwick–Ajaccio follows on June 30, operating Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The two airports serve different parts of Corsica.

Bastia is in northern Corsica, while Ajaccio lies on the western side of the island, so travellers should consider their accommodation location and planned itinerary when choosing between them.

Montenegro Gets Two New easyJet Routes From the UK

Tivat receives new easyJet services from:

Edinburgh

Birmingham

The Edinburgh route starts on March 29, while the Birmingham route begins on May 3.

Both operate twice weekly.

Tivat Airport is one of the main international gateways to Montenegro's Adriatic coast and is particularly convenient for destinations around the Bay of Kotor, including Kotor and Perast, as well as Budva.

Road congestion can become significant during the peak summer season, so travellers should allow sufficient time for onward transfers.

easyJet Adds New UK Routes to Rhodes and Thessaloniki

Greece receives two additions in easyJet's UK Summer 2027 announcement:

London Southend – Rhodes

London Luton – Thessaloniki

Southend–Rhodes begins on April 27, operating Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Luton–Thessaloniki starts on May 1, operating on Saturdays.

Rhodes also appears in Ryanair's new route announcement through the Newcastle–Rhodes service.

Thessaloniki's new easyJet connection is relevant beyond the city because Thessaloniki Airport is also the principal international gateway for many visitors travelling to Halkidiki.

Six New Greece Routes Across the Two Announcements

Taken together, Ryanair's first Summer 2027 announcement and easyJet's UK announcement contain six new routes involving Greece.

Ryanair

  • Athens – Turin
  • Bratislava – Chania
  • Leeds Bradford – Corfu
  • Newcastle – Rhodes

easyJet

  • London Southend – Rhodes
  • London Luton – Thessaloniki

Rhodes therefore appears in both announcements, gaining new services from Newcastle and London Southend.

Cyprus Gains a New Newcastle Connection

easyJet's Newcastle–Larnaca service begins on March 31, operating once weekly on Wednesdays.

Larnaca Airport is one of Cyprus's two principal international gateways and is particularly convenient for travellers heading to Larnaca itself, Ayia Napa, Protaras and other destinations in southeastern Cyprus.

Bulgaria Gains Three Connections Across the Two Announcements

easyJet is introducing:

Bristol – Burgas

The service starts on May 28 and operates twice weekly.

Ryanair is adding:

Burgas – Wrocław

Memmingen – Varna

Together, the two announcements contain three new services involving Bulgaria's principal Black Sea gateways.

Burgas Airport serves destinations including Sunny Beach and Nessebar, while Varna Airport provides access to much of Bulgaria's northern Black Sea coast.

easyJet Has Also Announced Additional Summer 2027 Routes Outside the UK

The 18 easyJet routes listed above are specifically the new services included in the airline's UK Summer 2027 announcement.

They do not represent every new easyJet Summer 2027 route announced across Europe.

easyJet has separately announced additional services in other European markets, including routes such as:

Amsterdam – Tivat

Naples – Reykjavik

Rimini – Berlin Brandenburg

Biarritz – Málaga

Some other routes appearing in easyJet's country-specific announcements are the opposite ends of services already contained in the UK list, including Milan Malpensa–Birmingham, Rome Fiumicino–Edinburgh, Bastia–Manchester and Ajaccio–London Gatwick.

Regional UK Airports Are Major Winners

The Ryanair and easyJet announcements covered here involve numerous UK airports, including:

Aberdeen

Birmingham

Bournemouth

Bristol

East Midlands

Edinburgh

Exeter

Leeds Bradford

Liverpool

London Gatwick

London Luton

London Southend

Manchester

Newcastle

Norwich

Regional airports therefore form a significant part of the Summer 2027 expansion covered here.

Leeds Bradford gains several new Ryanair connections, while Edinburgh receives four of easyJet's 18 new UK routes and Aberdeen gains two.

Newcastle appears in both airlines' announcements.

Are the New Summer 2027 Flights Already Bookable?

Yes.

Ryanair says its first 29 newly announced Summer 2027 routes are available to book through its website and app.

easyJet's 18 new UK routes are also on sale through the airline's booking channels.

Airline schedules can still change between an initial route announcement and the start of operations, so travellers should reconfirm departure times, operating days and airport information closer to their travel date.

Does Booking Early Guarantee the Cheapest Fare?

No.

Low-cost airlines use dynamic pricing, meaning fares can rise or fall according to demand, remaining capacity, departure dates and other factors.

Booking early can sometimes provide access to lower fares, particularly for popular peak-summer dates, but there is no guarantee that the first available price will ultimately be the lowest.

The advertised base fare also does not necessarily represent the complete travel cost.

Checked luggage, larger cabin baggage, seat selection, priority boarding, airport transfers and other optional services can substantially increase the total price.

Comparing the complete trip cost is therefore more useful than comparing headline fares alone.

More Summer 2027 Routes Are Already Emerging

The two announcements examined here contain 47 new routes: Ryanair's first 29 Summer 2027 additions and 18 new easyJet routes from UK airports.

easyJet's UK routes begin launching on March 28, 2027, with the latest service in this particular announcement beginning on July 1.

Ryanair describes its October announcement as the first 29 new routes from its Summer 2027 programme, while easyJet has also announced additional Summer 2027 routes outside the UK.

For travellers, the expansion brings more regional-airport choice, additional direct Mediterranean connections and new ways to reach cities, islands and resort areas without changing flights.
