Air Serbia launches a new nonstop connection between Serbia and southern Spain on 30 September 2026, linking Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) directly with Seville Airport (SVQ).

to reach the Andalusian capital without connecting through another European
airport. It also expands Air Serbia’s Spanish network and creates a new option
for travellers planning trips across southern Spain.

Operate?
The new service begins on 30 September
2026 and is scheduled to operate twice weekly.
Flights from Belgrade to Seville operate as
JU588, with departures currently scheduled on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The return service from Seville to Belgrade operates as JU589.
Current schedules show a flight time of
approximately 3 hours 45 minutes from Belgrade to Seville. Departure
times and operating patterns can vary by travel date, so travellers should
check the current Air Serbia timetable before arranging airport transfers or
other time-sensitive connections.

Seville Expands Air Serbia’s Spanish
Network
Seville is one of several Spanish
destinations added to Air Serbia’s network during 2026.
The airline launched direct flights between
Belgrade and Alicante on 1 June 2026, while Tenerife followed in
September. With the addition of Seville, Air Serbia says it now serves eight
destinations in Spain from Belgrade.
Air Serbia originally announced the Seville
route in December 2025 as part of its wider network expansion for 2026.
The addition is particularly useful for
leisure travellers because Seville provides direct access to western Andalusia
rather than requiring passengers to arrive through Madrid, Málaga or another
Spanish gateway.
Why the New Route Matters for Travellers
For anyone travelling between Serbia and
Andalusia, the biggest advantage is straightforward: the journey can now be
made nonstop.
Seville is not only a major destination,
but also a practical base for exploring southern Spain.
From the city, travellers can continue
relatively easily to destinations including Córdoba, Cádiz and Jerez de la
Frontera, while longer itineraries can connect Seville with Málaga, Granada
and other parts of Andalusia.
For visitors staying in Seville, major
sights include the Real Alcázar, Seville Cathedral and La Giralda,
Plaza de España and the narrow streets of the historic Santa Cruz
district.
The city is also one of Spain’s most
important centres for flamenco and is particularly well suited to autumn and
winter city breaks, when temperatures are generally more comfortable for
sightseeing than during the hottest summer months.
Getting From Seville Airport to the City
Centre
Seville Airport is located northeast of the
city centre and has a direct public bus connection.
The EA – Especial Aeropuerto bus
links the airport with central Seville.
A single ticket currently costs €6,
while a return ticket costs €8. Tickets can be purchased on board, and
bank-card payment is accepted directly on TUSSAM buses.
