Best Kids Attraction in Malta? Playmobil FunPark!

You know those tiny Playmobil toys we all grew up with? Well, imagine them life-sized! We’re in Malta—but not in Valletta—and we’re heading into one of Europe’s most underrated family attractions. Buckle up, we drove on the left side of the road to get here, and it's absolutely worth it!

Welcome to the Playmobil FunPark Malta—home of pirates, princesses, knights, and everything in between, brought to life in the sunniest corner of the Mediterranean. You’ll find this family-friendly attraction in Ħal Far, in the south of Malta, just a 20-minute drive from Valletta. It's not exactly walking distance, so yes—we had to rent a car, and don’t forget: they drive UK-style here, on the left! Something to keep in mind before you turn the key.

Outside the entrance, you’re already greeted by larger-than-life Playmobil figures, the kind that make kids shout and adults do a double take. We’re talking pirate captains, royal knights, explorers, and yes—a Viking or two. This spot alone is gold for family photos and quick Instagram reels. You’ll find the entrance shop right here too, loaded with sets tha t go beyond your typical toy store—many exclusive to Malta.

But behind that entrance? That’s where the magic happens. The FunPark area includes indoor and outdoor play zones, a pirate-themed ship where kids can climb and pretend they're sailing the seas, a medieval castle with tiny tunnels and battlements to explore, and even a fairyland section with unicorns. And everything—literally everything—is done in that classic Playmobil style.

It’s ideal for kids aged 2 to 12, but there’s something here for grown-up nostalgia, too. The whole park is safe, clean, and compact enough to manage with younger children. And yes, there's a café for parents who need their cappuccino fix.
