Madrid is now a nonstop flight from
Larnaca. Wizz Air launched the new route on 25 September, with flights
currently scheduled three times a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The
transport options differ at each end: Madrid has a Metro and a 24-hour airport
express bus, while Larnaca’s Route 425 airport service ends at 22:00.

Getting to and from Madrid-Barajas
Airport
Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport has Metro and bus connections to the city.
- Metro: Line 8 connects the airport stations with Nuevos Ministerios. It runs
daily from 06:05 to 02:00; the last trains leave each end of the line at
01:33. A single ticket costs €1.50–€2, depending on the number of
stations, plus the €3 airport supplement. See Metro

- Airport Express bus 203: The €5
service runs 24 hours. From 06:00 to 23:30 it connects the airport with
Atocha; overnight, it serves Cibeles from 23:55 to 05:35. Buses run every
15–20 minutes during the day and about every 35 minutes overnight. See Airport

- Regular city buses: EMT’s single ticket costs €1.50 and can be bought when boarding. Line 200 serves Avenida de América, with airport departures from 05:10 to 23:30, generally every 10–20 minutes. Line 101 serves Canillejas from airport stops at T1 and T2; departures are generally every 16–27 minutes, with the first at 06:00 Monday–Saturday or 07:00 on Sundays and public holidays, and the last at 23:25. Getting to and from Larnaca Airport
Larnaca has no metro. Buses 425 and 429
connect the airport with Larnaca and nearby areas. See Larnaca

- Bus 425: The route serves the
airport, Makenzy, Larnaca Central Station and Foinikoudes, continuing
toward Dekeleia. From the airport, buses run daily from 06:30 to 22:00,
about every 30 minutes. The service does not run overnight. A temporary
summer timetable ran every 20 minutes until midnight during July and
August 2026; that timetable has ended.
- Bus 429: This route links Larnaca
Central Station and the airport, continuing via Meneou toward Faros and
Tekke. Departure times vary by day and direction; check the Cyprus Public Transport journey
planner or Pame app for the airport departure time on your travel date.
- City bus fares: A one-way urban
ticket costs €2.70 in cash or €2 with a travel card. The night fare for
journeys between 21:00 and 04:00 is €4.70 in cash or €3.50 by card. This
fare window does not mean Route 425 runs overnight; its last scheduled
departure from the airport is 22:00. See urban

- Other options: Kapnos Airport Shuttle and Limassol Airport Express serve destinations beyond Larnaca. Taxis are available 24 hours at the right-hand side of the Arrivals Hall, Level 0.
