Highline Warsaw in Winter: Varso Tower Observation Deck, 230m Views & Rooftop

If you’re in Warsaw during the colder months and want a “big payoff” view without a long day trip, Highline Warsaw is an easy win. It’s a modern observation experience inside Varso Tower, right near Warszawa Centralna, so you can fit it between sightseeing stops, shopping, or an evening walk. In this post, we’ll walk you through the visit exactly as it happens in the video — starting at the ground floor, heading up by lift, enjoying the indoor panoramic level, and then stepping outside to snowy rooftop decks, including a festive Christmas-lit terrace.

Highline Warsaw in winter ❄️ one of the best skyline views in the city

Highline Warsaw sits in central Warsaw at Chmielna 69/71, inside the Varso complex. The location is a big part of the appeal: you don’t need a car, and you don’t need to plan around a remote viewpoint. You simply arrive, enter the sleek lobby area, and within minutes you’re on your way upward — from street-level bustle to a calm, glass-lined space above the city.

Varso Tower observation decks: indoor panorama + open-air rooftop terraces

The visit is nicely staged. First you reach the enclosed viewing level, where huge windows wrap the space and let you settle in even if winter weather is harsh. This indoor area is ideal for taking photos without freezing, and for spotting landmarks — especially the Palace of Culture and Science (PKiN), which stands out clearly in the skyline. After that, you move to the open-air observation decks, where everything feels more dramatic: the city feels wider, the sounds feel quieter, and the height finally hits.

Snow, wind, and a Christmas-lit outer deck with Warsaw glowing below

In winter, the outdoor decks are the highlight — and the part you need to prepare for. The wind can be strong, and snow can make surfaces slippery, so warm layers and good shoes help a lot. The reward is a crisp, cinematic Warsaw panorama, especially when the light is low and the city starts glowing. During the festive season, one of the outer terraces often features Christmas decorations and lighting, giving the rooftop a cozy holiday vibe while the skyline stretches behind it.

Practical visit info (location, height, tickets)

Highline Warsaw is very easy to reach on foot from Warszawa Centralna (Central Station). Nearby metro stops include Centrum and Rondo ONZ, with many trams and buses in the same area. The viewpoint is around 230 meters up (53rd floor). Varso Tower was completed in 2022, reaching 310 meters with the spire, making it the tallest building in the European Union.
