Bali: A visit to the ancient Batuan Hindu Temple at Ubud village

This artistic temple is about 17 Km away from the city of Denpasar.

It is one of the oldest in Bali, dating back to 1022 AD.

Tradition states that the name refers to the stones as a place to worship

ancient spirits with relevant ceremonies.

Since it is a place of religious worship it should be entered dressed decently.

There is no entrance fee but you might be encouraged to make a donation.
